Job summary

Otis Elevator Company in Singapore is hiring a Service Technician to join the Otis/Sigma service team. You will report to the Service Engineer and work on-site to service, maintain and repair elevators and escalators.

Main duties include preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, lubrication, safety device testing and replacement of parts as needed, plus responding to breakdown calls. Requirements: Diploma/Higher Nitec in Vertical Transportation or related engineering, valid CoC, at least 2 years’

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher Nitec in Vertical Transportation or related engineering field.
• CoC certification (valid).
• Minimum 2 years of experience servicing and maintaining elevators/escalators.
• Proficient in basic English; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair elevators, escalators and mechanical-parking systems per local codes.
• Check, oil, grease, adjust and test safety devices; inspect and replace parts as needed.
• Attend breakdown maintenance calls at various job sites and support service operations.

About You

You will report to Service Engineer and be part of the service team. You are responsible to provide technical support for servicing, maintaining and repairing of elevators and/ or escalators as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair the elevators, escalators and mechanical-parking systems that includes checking, oiling, greasing, mechanical adjustment, trouble-shooting, testing of safety devices, inspection and parts recommendation and replacement in accordance to local code of practice
• Demonstrate understanding and compliance of Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) procedures
• Attend to breakdown maintenance calls at various job sites
• Support Service Operations Team to achieve department objectives on service sales targets and service quality standards

Requirement

• Diploma/ Higher Nitec in Vertical Transportation/ Engineering or relevant disciplines
• A valid CoC Certification
• Min. 2 years of work experience in servicing and maintaining elevators and escalators
• Basic English Proficiency
• Team player, adaptable and agile
