Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a Service Engineer with a mechanical background to service and repair industrial gearbox and power transmission equipment. The role includes strip-down work, testing, reporting, and on-site support, with frequent travel to customer sites.

Candidates should have a mechanical fitter qualification, knowledge of transmission products, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• All aspects of gearbox and power transmission equipment service and repair.
• Strip, clean, inspect, repair, test run, report, assemble, pack, etc.
• Establish root causes for industrial and wind power transmission equipment with minimal supervision.
• Convey technical information to customers to reach the best outcome.
• Frequent travel/site work is required.
• Willingness for learning and OEM training.

Role Summary

Tasks (including but not limited to):

• All aspects of all makes and types of Industrial Gearbox & Power Transmission equipment service and repair
• Strip, clean, inspect, repair, test run, report, assemble, pack, etc.
• Establish root causes for Industrial and Wind power transmission equipment with minimum supervision.
• Ability to exercise judgment on the spot and convey technical information to customers in order to reach the best outcome.
• Frequent travel/site work will be required.
• Willingness for learning and development, including OEM training.

Mandatory skills

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualified
• Industry knowledge - transmission products
• Customer service skills
• Good to have Industrial Gearbox Testing, Cert of Dogging, Rigging, Workat height or training will be given
• Safety conscious with a thorough understanding and compliance with work safety standards
• Technical ability to read engineering drawings and workshop measuring equipment
• Ability to manage workload with a results-driven attitude
