Job summary

Siemens is seeking a diligent professional to maintain and troubleshoot Fire Detection & Alarm Systems across customer facilities in Singapore. You will support commissioning, system validation, and handovers to ensure compliance with project specs and regulations.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Fire Safety Engineering with strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a service team. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Fire safety related field required or similar.
  • Fresh graduates encouraged; experience in fire detection/alarms advantageous.
  • Knowledge of life-safety systems, fire alarm networks and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver maintenance and troubleshooting for Fire Detection & Alarm Systems.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and handover to meet project specs.
  • Analyze fault logs, perform root cause analysis, and suggest improvements.
  • Provide onsite customer guidance and document service findings.
  • Maintain safety, compliance and proper documentation across facilities.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in standby duty.

You’ll make a difference by:
  • Delivering maintenance and troubleshooting services by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing faults, and restoring Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, including fire alarm control panels, detectors, sounders, manual call points, network modules, and field devices.
  • Supporting commissioning and system validation activities through installation support, point-to-point verification, loop testing, cause-and-effect testing, system acceptance testing, and handover to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical expertise and system optimization by analyzing fault logs and system events, conducting root cause analysis, supporting firmware upgrades and software configuration, and recommending improvements to enhance system reliability and availability.
  • Building trusted customer relationships by delivering professional onsite support, providing technical guidance, coordinating with customers and project stakeholders, and communicating service findings and corrective actions effectively.
  • Maintaining safety, compliance, and documentation standards through accurate preparation of service reports, maintenance records, testing certificates, commissioning documentation, and adherence to workplace safety, fire regulations, and Siemens quality requirements.
  • Supporting critical service operations by responding to emergency breakdowns, participating in standby duty when required, and ensuring life-safety systems remain operational across customer facilities.
Your defining qualities:
  • Relevant engineering qualification with a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest or experience in fire and building systems; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, while experience in Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, ELV systems, building services, or building automation will be advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of life-safety systems including fire alarm system architecture, addressable fire alarm networks, smoke detection technologies, fire protection systems, emergency voice communication systems, and fire safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation including electrical drawings, wiring schematics, control diagrams, and system layouts for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills with knowledge of fault diagnosis, low‑voltage systems, field instrumentation, and basic networking concepts used in integrated building systems.
  • Customer-focused and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills, attention to detail, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a service team. Experience with Siemens fire platforms will be an added advantage.
