Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Singapore is seeking a Service Engineer responsible for after-sales field service of vacuum pumps and blowers, including testing, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and overhaul at installed bases.

The role requires technical knowledge of vacuum equipment, strong customer focus and ownership mindset; you'll perform on-site installations, inspections, maintenance, device repairs, and produce service reports while liaising with production for defect feedback.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and field service experience in rotating equipment such as vacuum pumps and blowers.
• Singapore Class 3 driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and rectification on vacuum pumps and blowers at various sites.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and field service for installed bases.
• Provide site and classroom training to customers on vacuum pumps and blowers.
• Produce field service quality reports and document service activities.
• Feedback product defects to production and assist customers with corrective actions.

Job description

The Service Engineer is responsible for carrying out after sales field service jobs including testing & commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and overhaul of Ingersoll Rand’s vacuum pump and blowers at installed bases. He/she will require technical knowledge of vacuum, customer orientation and strong ownership mindset to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, diagnose, maintenance and rectification on vacuum pump and blowers at various commercial and industrial establishments.
• Conduct site and classroom training to customers on vacuum pump and blowers
• Recommend necessary actions to improve the efficiency and reliability of customer’s vacuum pump and blowers.
• General service report writing for internal and external customers.
• Document and prepare field service quality reports. If there are quality problems, it is necessary to feedback specific product defects to the production department and assist customers to take corrective measures.

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with strong field service experience in rotating equipment such as vacuum pumps, and blowers or compressors, (e.g., dry or oil screw, lobe, maglev, airfoil, etc.) – Mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Singapore Class 3 driving license.
