Job summary

Malvern Panalytical is seeking a Service Engineer in Singapore to install, commission, maintain, and repair XRF and XRD systems across APAC. You will troubleshoot issues, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.

The role requires reading electronic drawings and manuals in English, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice. On-site or remote support after hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience maintaining analytical instruments or semiconductor equipment.
• Able to read electronic drawings and technical manuals in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and MS Office skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
• Ability to provide remote or on-site support after-hours and on holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair XRF and XRD systems in APAC.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose customer problems; coordinate corrective action.
• Follow Malvern Panalytical safety and work protocol policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance per factory guidelines.
• Provide service support and basic training after installation.
• Complete service administration and report submission; manage spare parts per procedure.

Service Engineer

Responsibilities

Responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of current installed base of XRF, XRD inAPAC

Troubleshoot, diagnose customer problems, and coordinate appropriate corrective action directly.

Conform to Malvern Panalytical and customer’s safety, cleanliness, and working protocol policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected by Malvern Panalytical are understood and met. Carry out preventative maintenance activities to installed base as per factory guidelines.

Provide Service Support and basic training after installation.

General Service administration activities and report submission.

Responsible for proper spare part handling per internal procedure

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or Related

Min 2-4 years of experience in maintaining analytical instruments or semiconductor equipment is preferred.

Able to read electronic drawings, technical manual in English.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with MS office proficiency.

Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice

Can provide remote or on-site support afterwork hours and on holidays, depending on your customers' needs.
