Horiba Instruments (S) Pte Ltd is a global leader in scientific instrumentation, seeking a Service Engineer to support advanced analytical instruments used in research, manufacturing, and high-tech industries.
You will travel regionally to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instruments such as Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, spectroscopy, and ICP systems, while providing training and technical support to customers.

As a Service Engineer in our Scientific Division, you will work hands‑on with advanced technologies used in research, manufacturing, and high‑tech industries. Provide technical service and support for advanced scientific analytical instruments, including Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, Spectroscopy, ICP, and other analytical systems.
Travel overseas to customer sites across the region as required to perform installation, commissioning, calibration and validation, technical support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, customer training, and other service assignments for scientific analytical instruments.
Ensure all service activities for scientific analytical instruments are performed in accordance with company or customer quality standards, safety procedures, and customer site regulations.
Collaborate closely with internal Sales, Customer Service Administration, Regional Technical Experts, and Service Engineers to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain service excellence for scientific instrumentation.
Prepare accurate and timely service quotations for repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and labour related to scientific instruments in response to customer inquiries across the region.
Record and maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation in a timely manner following each scientific service activity.
Communicate and liaise directly with overseas manufacturing factories and global technical support teams to resolve technical issues relating to scientific instruments and implement effective corrective actions.
Conduct technical training for end users, including scientists, engineers, laboratory personnel, and distributors, to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and optimal performance of scientific instruments.
Provide professional technical service support while building and maintaining strong customer relationships by resolving complex technical service issues and delivering effective solutions for scientific instrumentation.
Identify and develop service business opportunities, including preventive maintenance agreements, service contracts, instrument upgrades, and spare parts sales for scientific instruments, to support business growth and customer retention.
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation/Controls (or equivalent).
At least 2 years of service experience (training provided; fresh graduates are welcome).
Willing to travel overseas to support regional customers; local travel required (own transport preferred).
Strong troubleshooting mindset, customer orientation, safe working habits, and clear service documentation.
Excellent planning and time management; proactive and able to work independently as required.
Good Attitude, Self-motivated, Proactive and able to work independently.
Experience with analytical/scientific instruments such as Particle Size Analyzers, X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), spectroscopy systems, and/or ICP spectrometers.
