Job summary

Socomec is seeking a Service Engineer to commission new products, service and troubleshoot installed systems, and train customers and distributors. You will apply on-site installation procedures, tailor UPS settings, and perform tests to meet customer requirements while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role involves coordinating technicians on projects, conducting preventive maintenance, and delivering training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and support across the network.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• Ability to read and understand a single-line diagram.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and power electronics.
• Compliance with safety and reporting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Apply installation and commissioning procedures on site.

Purpose of the role

The Service Engineer is responsible for the commissioning of new products, servicing & troubleshooting of installed products and customer and distributor training.

Responsibilities

• Apply installation & commissioning procedures on site
• Customize settings of UPS installations according to its environment
• Test according to customer requirement
• May coordinate the work of technicians on certain projects
• Servicing: execute preventive maintenance operations according to SOCOMEC specifications (replacement of usable parts)
• Troubleshooting of all installed Socomec equipment: diagnostic of installations
• Detect and provide feed-back on recurrent problems
• Run training sessions
• Maintain a sustainable relationship with customers
• Provide basic information on daily use of the machine to customers
• Increase technical level of distributor through training
