Senior Service & AV Technician
Role Summary
The Senior Service & AV Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of professional AV, UC&C, digital signage, and integrated control systems. This role requires strong technical competency in commercial AV environments, networking fundamentals, and customer-facing project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Technical Support
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of AV, IT, and display systems.
- Support escalations that cannot be resolved by junior technicians.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide corrective action recommendations.
- Manage service tickets and ensure SLA compliance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system health audits.
Installation & Commissioning
- Lead onsite installation and commissioning activities for AV projects.
- Configure, test, and optimise integrated AV systems.
- Commission Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and hybrid meeting environments.
- Perform AV system calibration, audio tuning, DSP configuration, and video optimisation.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and client handover.
AV Systems Expertise
Hands-on experience with:
- LED Wall installation and troubleshooting
- Interactive Flat Panels

Networking & Integration
- Configure managed switches, VLANs, QoS, multicast and PoE environments.
- Understand TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, subnetting and network troubleshooting.
- Perform device IP configuration and network integration.
- Troubleshoot AV-over-IP environments across enterprise networks.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce detailed service, inspection and commissioning reports.
- Maintain as-built drawings and system documentation.
- Create network topology diagrams and equipment schedules.
- Update service databases and inventory records.
Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary technical liaison during onsite activities.
- Conduct end-user training sessions.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to customers.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and professionalism.
After-Hours Support
- Participate in after-office-hours, weekend, and public holiday support when required.
- Travel to customer sites across Singapore on short notice.
- Support critical events and executive meeting environments.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of commercial AV industry experience.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise meeting rooms, training rooms, boardrooms, auditoriums, and digital signage deployments.
- Experience in commissioning integrated AV systems valued above SGD 50,000.
- Demonstrated experience leading installation teams and subcontractors.

Physical & Work Requirements

- Able to work in server rooms, data centres, classrooms, auditoriums, and corporate environments.
- Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence (preferred).
- Willing to travel and support projects outside normal working hours.
