The role focuses on safeguarding scholar well-being, guiding development, and engaging families and communities to build a supportive ecosystem.

You will lead wellbeing initiatives, design mindfulness workshops, and collaborate with the Scholar Development Team to equip staff with crisis response skills,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Education, Counselling).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in youth engagement, coaching, mentoring, or residential care.
  • Strong understanding of youth development and cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexible schedule: evenings Mon-Thu 6pm-11pm, including Sunday evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead wellbeing initiatives and safety assessments for scholars in residence.
  • Provide counselling support to scholars navigating residential living and socio-emotional development.
  • Design mindfulness and self-care workshops to build resilience.
  • Support scholars’ growth with personalised care plans and goal-setting.
  • Maintain documentation of wellbeing and progress.
  • Facilitate workshops on mindfulness and self-reflection to foster growth.
  • Partner with families, schools, and community stakeholders.
  • Organise engagement events to celebrate progress and strengthen belonging.
  • Collaborate with Scholar Development Team to train staff for crisis response.
  • Lead preventive initiatives to cultivate values-driven behaviour in scholars.
