Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) seeks an experienced Lab Manager/Senior Assistant Manager to lead X-ray crystallography operations and support research, teaching and infrastructure across the university.

The role focuses on maintaining crystallography capabilities, supervising the lab, training users (graduates and undergraduates), coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safety, data management and compliance while advancing analytical services

Qualifications

PhD in Chemistry with at least 5 years of experience in small molecules single crystal X-ray crystallography.
Doctoral research experience of 3 to 4 years in small molecule single crystal X-ray crystallography will be considered.
Strong written and verbal communication with researchers and students.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across platforms and vendors.

Responsibilities

Assess sample and crystal suitability before and during data collection and advise researchers.
Maintain and manage the X-ray crystallography laboratory, instruments and safety compliance.
Train users, develop SOPs, and support teaching sessions CM7012/CM6810.
Coordinate with vendors and support external collaborators for equipment servicing.
