Job summary

PERSOL Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to join our infrastructure operations team in Singapore. You will manage Windows Server environments, AD, and automation, ensuring uptime, security, and compliance in an SLA-driven ITIL-aligned setting.

You will automate tasks with PowerShell, patch servers, monitor health, and coordinate changes with enterprise tooling. Experience in enterprise environments and strong troubleshooting are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Windows Server / Infrastructure Administration, preferably within an enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 and/or 2019.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, authentication, permissions, domain services, and Windows infrastructure dependencies.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills with experience in infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server patching, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with enterprise server management, monitoring, deployment, and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of RAID technologies, including RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 and other storage configurations.
• Experience with Altiris and/or similar enterprise management tools will be advantageous.
• Experience with enterprise ticketing and IT service management tools, such as HP Service Manager, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
• Good understanding and awareness of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Service Management.
• Experience working in an SLA-driven IT operations environment with defined response and resolution targets.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and related infrastructure.
• Provide AD administration and troubleshooting for users, groups, OUs, GPOs, and domain services.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administration, monitoring, and reporting.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Windows Server patching and maintenance activities.
• Monitor infrastructure health, incidents, and service performance; perform root cause analysis.
• Support enterprise server management tools and documentation; contribute to runbooks.
• Participate in 24x7 shift operations and incident response when required.
