Job summary

DSV Singapore is seeking an experienced Solutions Design professional to design and validate operational solutions for warehouse projects in Tampines. You will collaborate with automation teams and internal stakeholders to ensure feasible, data‑driven designs that meet internal hurdle rates and deliver competitive cost models.

Qualifications

• EU: HBO, University degree in engineering (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain
• Min 3+ years in warehouse solutions design (manager level)
• Strong knowledge of warehouse solutions and SD Tools
• Excellent analytical and commercial/technical understanding of Contract Logistics
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel VBA, VLOOKUP, PivotTable) and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Visio/Stream/Power BI
• Strong intercultural communication abilities and self‑starter mindset

Responsibilities

• Own calculation, layout design, technical response & commercial modelling for assigned projects
• Liaise with automation team for potential technology
• Establish optimal Solution Concept aligned with customer needs and VM features
• Articulate key components of RFQ/project scope and present material flow
• Simulate resources, MHE, space with layout design, investment and RFQ requirements
• Ensure costs are considered and develop competitive commercial modelling
• Support Commercial/BD in negotiation strategy and value proposition
• Provide SD inputs for implementation handover and CRs when required
• Deploy Solution Standards, Tools, and Templates per Global/Regional SD Initiatives
• Work within Standard Work Framework to ensure efficient design process
