Job summary

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow to advance vanadium redox flow battery stacks from pilot scale to commercial systems in Singapore.

You will bridge R&D, testing and production, establish test rigs and quality benchmarks, and work with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure designs are scalable and cost-effective. Shortlisted candidates only.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical, chemical, electrochemical or materials engineering.
• 2–5 years hands-on electrochemical stack development experience.
• Experience with vanadium redox flow batteries or similar systems is preferred.
• Ability to work across R&D, manufacturing and testing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead VRFB stack development from prototype to commercial scale while ensuring performance and reliability.
• Develop, assemble, and validate stack designs through testing, durability studies, and failure analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure production-readiness and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish test rigs, SOPs, and quality benchmarks to drive continuous design improvement.
