NTU Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) seeks a Senior Research Fellow to develop vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) stacks from pilot scale to commercial systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability. The role bridges R&D, testing, and production to enable large-scale deployment.

You will lead stack development, validate designs through structured testing and durability studies, and collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure cost-effective,

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, chemical, electrochemical or materials engineering.
• 2–5 years hands-on electrochemical stack development experience.
• Experience with vanadium redox flow batteries, fuel cells, or similar systems preferred.
• Ability to work across R&D, manufacturing and testing teams in scale-up or pilot-to-commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead vanadium redox flow battery stack development from prototype to commercial scale.
• Develop, assemble, and validate stack designs through testing, durability studies and failure analysis.
• Work with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure production-readiness and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish test rigs, SOPs and quality benchmarks; use data to drive design improvements.
