Job Overview

Permanent position located in Yishun. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Salary: up to SGD 6,000 plus annual bonus and variable benefits.

Role

Main responsibility: organize and lead cost initiatives through Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) or Design to Cost (DTC) to ensure timely and well‑tracked cost savings.

• Lead the source team responsible for product entry and exit (end‑of‑life).
• Represent the organization by compiling and providing reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Report to the Manager / Senior Manager and work on assigned VAVE or DTC projects.
• Organize and conduct Value Analysis and Value Engineering to ensure design and cost effectiveness.
• Facilitate VAVE/DTC workshops, driving Commodity Managers and Procurement Engineering team to generate cost‑effective initiatives.
• Think creatively, challenge existing processes and designs, and provide constructive ideas for cost and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D or PSG leads to align initiative approaches.
• Prepare and present business cases to Steering Committees and submit to management for decisions.
• Ensure communications and system preparation for initiative implementation, coordinating with PSG Lead, Commodity Managers, Operative Purchaser, Production Planner and Supplier Quality; plan measures to avoid or reduce material waste and extra costs.
• Escalate any deviations in phase‑in / phase‑out strategy that affect material availability or business risk.
• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to update and monitor progress.
• Maintain VAVE/DTC information and close follow‑up on project status.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Senior Manager.
