Job summary

Success Human Resource Centre Pte Ltd is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Singapore. The role requires a degree in engineering and extensive sourcing experience to drive cost-effective purchasing decisions.

You will negotiate best deals, perform supply chain cost analysis, acquire quotes for tenders, and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quality for operations. Strong collaboration with design and quality teams is expected to identify new components and optimize

Qualifications

• Degree in any engineering discipline with relevant experience in sourcing and negotiating.
• Keen interest in automotive systems.
• Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and exercise independent judgment.
• Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate for a best deal in consideration of Total Cost of Ownership.
• Perform supply chain cost analysis and implement cost efficient and effective purchasing strategies.
• Acquire quotes to support tenders, establish contracts with key suppliers and support production activities.
• Work with the materials and planning team and implement engineering changes to ensure on-time deliveries of the right parts to operations; support warranty claims and repair turn-around-time.
• Work closely with Designers and Quality teams to identify new components/prototypes and develop new and existing suppliers.
• Management of PR/PO as well as purchase forecast to suppliers including rescheduling to meet changes in demand.
• Exercise good vendor management and monitor performance of suppliers to meet objectives in quality, flexibility, inventory control, and engage suppliers regarding quality and production complaints.

Job Responsibilities

• Negotiate for a best deal in consideration of Total Cost of Ownership
• Perform supply chain cost analysis and implement cost efficient and effective purchasing strategies
• Acquire quotes to support tenders, establish contracts with key suppliers and support production activities
• Work with the materials and planning team and implement engineering changes to ensure on-time deliveries of the right parts to operations. Including support for warranty claims of defective components and ensuring its quick repair turn-around-time to satisfy customer demands
• Work closely with Designers and Quality team to identify new components / prototypes and develop new and existing suppliers
• Management of PR/PO as well as purchase forecast to suppliers inclusive of rescheduling to meet changes in demand
• Exercise good vendor management and monitor performance of suppliers to meet objectives in the area of quality, flexibility, inventory control and actively engages suppliers with regard to quality and production complaints (supplier evaluation and supplier development)

Responsibilities
