Job summary

Exion Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a valve technician to perform servicing, calibration, and testing on-site at our Singapore facilities. You will follow safety procedures, work under supervision, and maintain accurate service reports.

Responsibilities include attending safety meetings, valve servicing, calibration tests, quality control, and teamwork to ensure timely completion of jobs while adhering to ANSI/API standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety and toolbox meetings conducted by the Operations Manager, Unit Managers, and Supervisors.
• Attend job briefings and work assignments conducted by the Supervisor before commencing work.
• Carry out assigned jobs in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Follow standard service procedures for valve servicing, calibration, testing, and repair activities.
• Prepare repair control sheets and record the as-received and as-found conditions of valves.
• Perform pre-function tests to assess valve and actuator before servicing.
• Disassemble and reassemble various types of valves and actuators in accordance with standard procedures.
• Clean valve components and equipment thoroughly during the servicing process.
• Replace spare parts in accordance with recommended specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform lapping of valve plugs and seats to ensure proper sealing.
• Carry out tagging and painting of valves and components where required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping throughout and upon completion of servicing activities.
• Perform actuator bench testing to verify proper operation and performance.
• Conduct positioner calibration and functional testing according to required specifications.
• Perform seat leakage and body pressure tests in accordance with applicable ANSI/API standards.
• Record and maintain accurate test results and documentation.
• Ensure proper housekeeping after completion of testing activities.
• Immediately report any damaged components, defects, or unexpected findings to the Supervisor for further assessment.
• Maintain service quality and ensure assigned work is completed according to the required schedule.
• Prepare, update, and maintain accurate service reports for assigned jobs.
• Ensure that the workplace and work methods are safe for the service team and that all tools and equipment are used and maintained properly.
• When assigned to an on-site job, comply fully with all safety rules, regulations, and requirements of the designated worksite.
• Follow the approved Method Statement and applicable work procedures submitted for the assigned job.
• Comply with site-specific safety requirements, work instructions, and permit-to-work procedures where applicable.
• Follow instructions from the Supervisor regarding manpower allocation, work assignments, and job priorities.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other relevant personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of assigned jobs.
