Job summary

MSIG Singapore, a leading general insurer with a century-long local presence, is seeking a senior underwriting leader to guide a team of underwriters and enhance underwriting profitability for Property & Casualty classes. The role emphasizes training, process optimization and strong broker relationships in a regulated market.

You will oversee portfolio performance, ensure policy compliance and drive efficiency across the department, contributing to the company’s awards and growth in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
• Relevant qualifications in general insurance (minimum BCP & CGI).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of underwriters.
• Carry out quality assurance checks and assist in training of junior team members.
• Optimize efficiency and effectiveness in work processes within the department.
• Underwrite Property & Casualty Classes of Insurance.
• Manage portfolio profitability growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers.
• Develop and manage Broker Facilities.
• Ensure compliance with credit control policy.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.
