Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) is seeking an AVP, Business Analyst for the Strategic Transformation Office in Singapore. You will partner with senior leaders to shape strategy, lead large transformation programmes, and deliver data‑driven insights to executive committees.

You will drive operating model design, process improvements, and governance across fronts, balancing risk with growth. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience within financial services, management consulting, strategic transformation, or programme delivery environments.
• MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
• Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2), Agile, Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, or related disciplines are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of corporate and institutional banking products, operating models, risk management frameworks, and regulatory environments.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior executives and business leaders to define strategic objectives and develop executable roadmaps.
• Lead business analysis across large-scale strategic, regulatory, digital, and operational transformation programmes.
• Evaluate current-state models and design future-state operating models and target processes.
• Facilitate strategic discussions and provide data‑driven insights for executive decision‑making.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as advisor to sponsors and committees.
• Lead workshops and cross‑functional groups to drive alignment and delivery outcomes.
• Translate strategic objectives into requirements, specifications, and operating model recommendations.
• Design improvements leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking and other methodologies.
• Develop data analytics and dashboards to track programme outcomes and business benefits.
• Support governance, risk management, change management, and benefits realization activities.
