Job summary

Consult Group is seeking a Trade Finance Manager in Singapore to oversee funding for commodity trading across regions. You will work with the Group CFO and banking partners to structure facilities, monitor risk, and optimize cash and credit flows.

The role demands extensive experience in trade finance, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex, non-standard structures in metals, oil, or energy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in trade finance within a commodity trading company or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments and their application in physical trading environments.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize complex information.

Responsibilities

• Weekly monitoring and mark-to-market valuation of stock positions.
• Manage day-to-day cash positions with banking partners and processing of payments.
• Negotiate and document facility agreements and trade finance instruments.
• Identify and structure optimal, cost-effective banking solutions for physical trading flows.
• Provide regular reporting on credit, exposure, and financial risks.
