Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) is seeking a senior salesperson for its Wholesale Bank trade finance portfolio. You will provide advisory and structured trade solutions to SME clients, collaborating with RMs and cross‑functional teams to drive the utilization of facilities and capture new business opportunities.

The role requires 5+ years in transaction banking sales, strong knowledge of documentary and open-account trade, and a solid grasp of working capital solutions.

Qualifications

• Holder of a University Degree from a recognised University.
• More than 5 years of transaction banking experience in sales focusing on Trade Finance and FSCM.
• Conversant in documentary trade and open account trade services and financing, both domestically and regionally.
• Good working knowledge of working capital solutions and ability to articulate value propositions from a working capital perspective.
• Possess working knowledge of electronic banking delivery, Host-to-Host solutions, ERP and others.

Responsibilities

• Provide trade advisory and structured trade solutions to SME Banking clients, positioning UOB as their preferred trade finance partner.
• Drive trade sales utilisation through targeted business development initiatives.
• Identify priority client opportunities and align strategies with business units and origination teams.
• Promote utilisation of existing facilities and uncover new business opportunities for origination.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers on client calls, account planning and wallet-sizing workshops, ensuring regulatory compliance.
