Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in Singapore to turn breakthrough designs into scalable manufacturing solutions. You will drive product industrialization by optimizing quality, cost, and lead time while partnering with Global Operations and business units.

You will develop testing methods,-standardize processes, and lead cross-functional projects to deliver robust test solutions for capital equipment in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, automation engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or engineering, ideally in semiconductor capital equipment.
• Experience in testing optimization and automation standardization.
• Experience with control systems and serial communications (TwinCAT PLC, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, RS-485/RS-232).
• Proficient in C#, Python or similar languages.
• Proven track record managing technical projects with cross-functional teams.
• FMEA, 8D, SPC and Six Sigma proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cost-effective testing methods and automated systems for product development and manufacturing.
• Standardize testing methodology to ensure quality across supplier, contract, and internal manufacturing.
• Prepare test programs, refine specifications, and assist with design/software test definitions.
• Develop hardware and software for test fixtures and deploy them in production.
• Gathers data to evaluate results and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence decisions and improve testing.
