Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Singapore is seeking a Test Engineer to support new product introductions (NPI) in manufacturing, legacy test equipment, and production support. You will help implement automated test methods for PCBAs, final assemblies, and large systems, collaborating with design teams to optimize testability and manufacturability.

The role requires 2+ years in a test engineering role, hands-on debugging across languages (C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, Visual Basic, PLC), and reading

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (EE/CS) or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a test engineer contributor in a team environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot software using multiple programming languages (C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, Visual Basic, PLC, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, electrical/mechanical drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Some travel up to 10%, possibly international.

Responsibilities

• Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programs for test equipment and processes.
• Develop standardized work, documentation, and operator training for test processes.
• Demonstrate use of Lean Six Sigma tools for qualification and improvement opportunities.
• Understand documentation of the test solution and document test specifications.
• Work with AutoCAD Electrical system wiring schematics and BOMs.
• Debug, modify, and troubleshoot test software (C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, Visual Basic, PLC, etc.).
• Provide manufacturing technical support to troubleshoot test systems and reduce downtime.
• Assist with maintenance scheduling and calibration requirements for test equipment.
