Job summary

ASM Singapore is seeking an Engineer I, Manufacturing Engineering, to drive operational excellence across semiconductor equipment production lines. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges, improve cycle times, and ensure product quality and delivery.

You will define procedures, build/test sequences, and quality documentation, lead continuous improvement projects, and coordinate with suppliers to deliver tooling and test equipment that meet product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience in equipment assembly and test within the Semiconductor or Capital Equipment industry.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Cpk, GR&R, SPC.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving change.

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes, cycle time, assembly sequence, and quality.
• Provide first-line engineering support to resolve daily operational issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily product delivery targets aligned with production schedules and quality standards.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and deviations.
• Define and create manufacturing procedures, build/test sequences, and quality documentation (e.g., work instructions, test procedures, inspection checklists).
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, capacity, and efficiency.
• Deliver tooling and test equipment that meet product requirements and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
