Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking a motivated engineering professional to join the Test R&D Software Solution team within Global Technology R&D. You will develop automation and robotics software, oversee application development, and collaborate with factories, IT, product groups, quality, finance, suppliers, and executives.

You will work in an international, multidisciplinary environment requiring strong programming in C#, C++, Java, and Python, with Git and SQL/XSQL experience, in a role that

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer/electronic engineering or computer science.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Minimum five years' experience in industrial automation, preferably semiconductor.
• Strong knowledge of C#, C++, Java, and Python; OO programming.
• Experience with Git and general version control.
• Experience with databases and SQL; SQLite experience preferred.
• Knowledge of XML and XSD formats.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to automate them using standard technology bricks.
• Develop prototypes and software solutions, internally or with external suppliers.
• Benchmark technically and economically between different software solutions.
• Lead software development projects, assessing costs, benefits, risks, and issues.
• Report project status to executive management.
