Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Test Engineer to support new product introductions, legacy test equipment, and production testing across global facilities. You will collaborate with design teams to optimize test solutions for manufacturability, perform preventative maintenance, and help reduce downtime in manufacturing environments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in EE/EET/EECS and 2+ years in test engineering, with proficiency in C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, Visual Basic, and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years as a test engineer contributor in a team environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot software using multiple languages (C, C++, C#, NI TestStand, Visual Basic, PLC).
• Read and interpret electronic schematics, BOMs, and design drawings.
• Some travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Implement lean manufacturing programs for test equipment and processes.
• Develop standardized work, documentation, and operator training for test processes.
• Apply Six Sigma tools for test equipment qualification and improvements.
• Document test specifications and system wiring in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration schedules for test equipment.
• Provide manufacturing technical support to resolve downtime in Rockwell plants.
