Job summary

Exponent in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveying/Construction Manager to lead end-to-end tendering and commercial delivery for mid-to-large scale projects. You will review client RFPs/BOQs, manage bid strategy, risk, pricing, and contract negotiations with legal and executive teams, and oversee post-tender handover to project delivery, cost control, and lessons learned.

You will also lead the QS team, monitor project costing, and ensure contractual compliance across projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of construction management and tendering experience, with senior leadership exposure.
• Proven ability to manage mid-to-large scale or interior fit-out projects.
• Excellent understanding of commercial risk, contract negotiation, and legal implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering: bid strategy, risk assessment, pricing, and submission.
• Review client-issued tenders (RFPs/BOQs/drawings) and ensure deliverables are understood.
• Develop structured workflows for bid prep, approvals and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead commercial terms negotiations with legal and executive management.
• Manage client communications during tenders, including clarifications and RFIs.
• Oversee tender document preparation and on-time submission.
• Support post-tender activities including negotiations and handover to delivery teams.
• Maintain lessons-learned database for future tenders.
• Lead QS team and oversee project costing and commercial performance.
• Review project costing and inter-project cost allocations.
• Handle contracts with clients and subcontractors, including settlements.
• Resolve cost and contractual issues across QS and project teams.
• Oversee project profit and loss and ensure contractual compliance.
