Job summary

Andaz Singapore is seeking a Senior Technician / Team Leader - Engineering to ensure excellent and consistent service while supporting all hotel operations.

You will apply practical hands-on skills with tools and machines, work well in teams, and help maintain central plant systems, with shifts including weekends and public holidays. Painting and general maintenance experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.
• Minimum 1 year as Technician/Tradesman in a hotel or 2 years in a large building with central plant.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Experience in painting and maintenance would be preferable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing excellent and consistent service to customers and supporting the smooth running of the Engineering Department.
• Assist in the efficient operation of the Engineering Department in support of other departments.

Job description

As a Senior Technician / Team leader - Engineering, you will be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers. The Senior Technician / Team leader - Engineering is responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments.

You enjoy and have practical skills in doing physical work with the aid of tools and machines. You are a good team‑player who works well in teams to solve complex issues especially those related to systems in building management. You are a service‑oriented and passionate learner who is willing to take on new challenges.

Your Profile

• Preferably possesses qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as Technician/Tradesman in a hotel or 2 years in a similar large building/complex with central plant.
• A positive and can‑do attitude.
• Able to work shifts, on weekends and public holidays.
• Experience in painting and maintenance work would be preferable.
