Job summary

AEM in Singapore is seeking a Technical Writer to develop, review, and maintain engineering documentation that accurately reflects current processes and business operations. You will translate complex technical information into clear, structured content; collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams; and manage the documentation lifecycle from draft to release.

Experience in high-tech manufacturing is preferred and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline; certification in Technical Writing will be an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing within a high-tech, manufacturing, or new product development environment.
• Strong ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation to accurately reflect current engineering processes and business operations.
• Identify key information sources, extract relevant technical content, and translate complex processes into clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation.
• Manage the documentation lifecycle, including facilitation of review, approval, and release of engineering documents, work instructions, and technical bulletins.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product information to ensure documentation is accurate, concise, and easy to understand for internal users and customers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure alignment and consistency of documentation standards.
• Conduct training sessions or knowledge transfer using developed documentation for equipment, processes, or system upgrades where required.
• Ensure documentation complies with internal quality standards and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
