Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is seeking a technical writer/engineer to develop and standardize Work Instructions (WI) and SOPs, integrating AI and automation to improve documentation. You will translate complex data into clear content and collaborate with Process & Manufacturing Engineering and Digital teams to capture knowledge.

The role requires a 3-5 year background in technical writing or engineering documentation, strong writing skills, and familiarity with Python or AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in technical writing or engineering documentation.
• Strong writing and communication skills with ability to translate complex tech.
• Knowledge of Python or AI/automation tools is advantageous.
• Passion for AI, digitalization and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain WI, RFQs, SOPs, and engineering docs.
• Translate complex technical information into clear content.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to capture knowledge and requirements.
• Understand manufacturing processes, BOMs, routings, TPD requirements.
• Drive documentation digitalization with AI and automation.
• Develop AI-assisted docs, templates, automation tools, workflows.
• Integrate data sources to improve documentation efficiency and consistency.
