Job summary

One North Consulting Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead with 10+ years of experience to drive end-to-end technical delivery and provide engineering leadership across Java/SpringBoot-based systems.

You will design, develop, and support backend microservices powering Life Insurance Distribution channels, coordinating multi-team efforts and ensuring production readiness. Strong SAFe/Agile experience and stakeholder management are required.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering and technology delivery experience.
Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technology products or projects end-to-end.
Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, CI/CD, automated testing and engineering quality.
Experience with Java 17+ (Java 21 preferred), SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, Webclient, Spring Security.
Work with Reactive REST API Development, Non-Blocking & Asynchronous Programming, Reactive Exception Handling.
Experience with Agile delivery; SAFe experience and PI Planning exposure.
Demonstrated experience managing technical debt, code quality, production readiness, risks and cross-team dependencies.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
Ability to challenge technical decisions constructively and make pragmatic trade-offs between business needs, quality, risk and timelines.
Experience working across multiple engineering and technology teams.

Responsibilities

Provide clear technical direction for engineering teams and act as the primary technical point of contact for delivery matters.
Strong background in design/development of Java/SpringBoot based systems.
Design, develop, and provide support backend microservices to power customer experience by Life Insurance Distribution channels.
In-depth knowledge and expertise that can be applied to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, and partner continuously with multiple stakeholders.
Guide engineers in translating requirements and agreed solution designs into robust, scalable and maintainable software.
Provide constructive technical challenge and practical recommendations when reviewing technical approaches.
Establish and uphold engineering standards, practices and ways of working.
Partner with Solution Architects on architecture decisions and ensure agreed architecture is implemented effectively.
