The role is hands-on Software Engineering, partnering with multiple stakeholders to deliver modern digital capabilities across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of backend software development experience.
• Hands-on with Java 21 and Spring Reactive Programming.
• Experience delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong testing culture: TDD/BDD, unit tests.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Proficient in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud basics.

• In this role, you will design, develop, and provide support backend microservices to power customer experience by Life Insurance Distribution channels.
• This is a hands-on software engineering & software engineering role.

• Design, develop and maintain mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.

• Own end-to-end delivery responsibility for modules, participate in Continuous Integration activities, automation frameworks for testing and deployments and other related items.

Technical Skills

• Candidate must have hands-on experience withSpring Reactive Programming, which is a key requirement for this role
• Strong background in design/development(functional and non-blocking programming)and support of large web-based systems, complete software product lifecycle exposure
• Strong culture on Software Testing (Unit Test, TDD, BDD)
• 7-12 years of Back End development experience
• Experience and affinity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong background in design/development of Java/Spring Boot based systems.
• Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning, engineering best practices, and deployment methodologies

Must have Experience with:

• Java 17+ (Java 21 preferred)
• RESTful APIs and Microservices development (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
• TDD/BDD (JUnit, Mockito and cucumber)
• Any RDBMS and NoSQL
• Code Version Control tools (GIT)Basic of DevOps (CI/CD,Docker, Kubernetes)Basic of Cloud platform (Services like Kubernetes, API Gateway)
• Basic of Event Bus (confluent - Kafka)
