Job summary

synapxe pte. ltd. is seeking an Associate Business Analyst to provide analytical support for technology solutions aligned with business needs. You will partner with stakeholders to identify and document requirements and help assess solution viability across business and IT teams.

This role focuses on structured analysis, data exploration, and communicating effectively with business partners and technical staff to enable successful implementations.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in computer science or other highly technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of Technical / Application experience on multiple technology platforms.
• Strong Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
• Proven client engagement experience / vendor management experience and project management.
• Strong analytical and soft skills, excellent in client-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the BA leads in the planning of business analysis approach by defining methods and tools.
• Prepare governance deliverables to track status, risks, changes and issues in day-to-day management.
• Contribute in the preparation of the stakeholder communication plan.
• Liaise with stakeholders to identify system/data product requirements.
• Provide analysis to support development of business cases.
• Support user requirement analysis through information collection.
• Support analysis of business requirements and feasibility studies of solutions.
• Prepare requirements specifications and solution proposals.
• Contribute to identification of a range of solution options.
• Prepare Requirements Traceability Matrix.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are incorporated into design.
• Function as liaison between users and technical staff.
• Prepare training materials and conduct user training to facilitate adoption.
• Coordinate system integration testing with multiple integration teams.
• Work with stakeholders on user acceptance testing.
• Validate test results against requirements and outcomes.
• Support development of test cases and data.
• Carry out SIT, UAT, pre-go live and post go live testing.
• Assist in assessment of solution options for suitability.
• Contribute to formulation of solution recommendation.
• Evaluate ability of existing systems to support proposed changes.

Position Overview

The Assoc Business Analyst provides analytical support for the development of technology solutions that meet business needs. You will partner with stakeholders to identify, clarify, and document business requirements. You will assist with the assessment of the viability and effectiveness of solution options that can meet business needs and facilitate communication between business and technology teams.

The candidate has a passion for learning and is comfortable exploring and analysing data and also adopts a structured and systematic approach to analysing business processes and solving problems.

Role & Responsibilities

Business Analysis Planning & Strategy

• Assist the BA leads in the planning of business analysis approach by defining the methods, techniques and tools to be used for business analysis
• Prepare governance deliverables to track status, risks, changes and issues pertaining to day-to-day management of all functional areas of system/data product analysis
• Contribute in the preparation of the stakeholder communication plan

Requirements Analysis & Design

• Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders to identify system/data products requirements
• Provide analysis to support the development of business cases
• Support user requirement analysis through information collection
• Support the analysis of business requirements and feasibility studies of possible solutions
• Prepare requirements specifications and solution proposals
• Contribute to the identification of a range of solution options

Requirements Lifecycle Management

• Prepare Requirements Traceability Matrix
• Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are incorporated into system design and implementation
• Function as the liaison between users and technical staff throughout the solution implementation cycle
• Contribute to identification of solution change risks
• Prepare training materials and conduct user training to facilitate adoption of new systems, where necessary
• Facilitate System Integration Testing by coordinating the development teams of various integrations
• Work with relevant stakeholders on user acceptance testing
• Validate test results ensuring they are in alignment with the requirements and achieving desired outcomes
• Support the development of test cases and test data, where necessary
• Carry out testing including SIT, UAT, pre-go live and post go live testing to ensure that the IT solution is built in accordance to the requirements, where necessary

Solution Evaluation

• Assist in the assessment of solution options for suitability
• Contribute in the formulation of solution recommendation
• Evaluate the ability of an existing system/data products to support proposed changes

Requirements

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
