About the Role
Our client is a well-established technology and engineering solutions organisation operating across multiple regulated industries, including the aviation sector. They are looking for a discovery-driven
Business Analyst
to serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, UX designers, and technical engineering teams. In this role, you will own the end-to-end requirements journey — from ambiguous initial briefs to structured, actionable specifications — ensuring that digital solutions are both technically sound and user-centric. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and enjoys translating real-world business challenges into elegant digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives and user expectations
- Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents capturing both functional and non-functional requirements for delivery teams
- Apply Design Thinking principles to reframe ambiguous problem statements and guide solution ideation, prototyping, and iterative user testing
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and collaborative sessions to surface user needs, define project scope, and resolve competing priorities
- Conduct gap analyses and impact assessments to support change management and smooth user adoption of new digital initiatives
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, and partner with QA teams to translate user load expectations into performance testing parameters
- Act as the primary liaison for business requirements across cross-functional teams including Solution Architects, developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies — including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives — and manage product backlogs using collaboration tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Business Analyst or equivalent role, with demonstrated ability to take a project from an undefined problem state to a structured solution roadmap
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and hands‑on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, or FigJam
- Experience in QA or functional testing, including manual testing, defect management, and UAT coordination
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills — including the ability to reconcile conflicting priorities across diverse groups
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or IIBA-AAC (is a bonus)
- Familiarity with UX/UI design tools such as Figma (is a bonus)
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6 (is a bonus)
