Job summary

Synapxe is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst – Business Intelligence Developers (NGEMR) to design and write analytics content based on Cogito analysts’ specifications. You will develop reports and dashboards, write SQL metrics, and ensure report validity across testing and live environments.

Role requires deep understanding of data models, Clarity and Epic modules, and ability to translate user needs into actionable BI content.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, or statistics.
• 2–5 years’ experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Critical thinking and an analytical mind.
• Proficiency with SQL, relational database concepts and report writing tools.
• Familiarity with Epic applications and database structure through training.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with Cogito Process Analysts and SMEs to understand dataneeds.
• Identifying and reviewing appropriate technological solutions for reporting needs.
• Creating Reports/Dashboards from Relational database Clarity for users.
• Writing SQL for custom SQL metrics.
• Modifying existing reports as necessary.
• Reviewing peer reports for validity.
• Testing report builds in testing environments and volume testing live.
• Reviewing upgrade docs related to Clarity features and implementation.
• Provide Go-live and Command Centre support to other integration systems.

Position Overview

Business intelligence developers (BIDs) create analytics content based on specifications created by Cogito business analysts. BIDs design and write reports based on an in-depth knowledge of operational system usage.This level of knowledge requires a deep understanding of system build, end user workflows, and patterns of
use. The BIDs shall have both the technical skills required to design and write reports and the operationalknowledge to help them understand what report consumers need to see.

Role & Responsibilities

• Meeting with Cogito Process Analysts (PA) and report requesters (SMEs) to understand their dataneeds.
• Identifying and reviewing the appropriate technological solutions for various reporting needs.
• Creating Reports/Dashboards to present data from relational database Clarity to users.
• Writing SQL for custom SQL metrics.
• Modifying existing reports, as necessary.
• Reviewing peer reports for validity.
• Testing report build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments.
• Reviewing upgrade documentation related to Clarity features, and determining how to implement thechanges.
• BIDs might also be responsible for building:
  • Universes and cubes
  • Extracts
  • SlicerDicer
  • Third-party tools (WebI/QlikView/Tableau)
• Provide Go-live and Command Centre support to other integraon systems.

Requirements

• Adegree in engineering, physics, computer sciences, math, information systems, or statistics
• At least 2 - 5 years’ experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems
• Strong communication skills
• Critical thinking and an analytical mind
• Technically proficient in analytical database platforms
• Possess relevant working knowledge of the database operating systems
• Proficiency with SQL, relational database concepts and report writing tools
• Familiarity with Epic applications and database structure, through training that occurs early in the implementation
• Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the data model through data model classes geared toward content areas
• Certification in Clarity Admin, or Cogito or other Epic modules will be advantageous
