Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in system administration, networking, or IT infra support.
• Strong hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, VLANs, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewall technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Proxmox virtualization experience and storage fundamentals (HPE MSA).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain plant LAN/WAN/WLAN, switching, routing, and firewall policies.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues with RCA when required.
• Administer Windows Server environments including AD, DNS, DHCP, GP.
• Operate Proxmox virtualization platforms and manage VMs and storage.
• Monitor infrastructure health with Zabbix and coordinate upgrades and patches.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
• Document configurations, diagrams, and asset information; coordinate with regional teams.

Senior System & Network Engineer (ITInfrastructure)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System & Network Engineer to manage and support the IT infrastructure and network operations of our manufacturing plant in Singapore. This is a hands‑on technical role responsible for maintaining the availability, stability, security, and performance of the plant's IT infrastructure. The role covers network infrastructure, Windows servers, virtualization, storage, backup, Microsoft 365, and end‑user IT support.

The successful candidate will work closely with Regional IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to implement infrastructure projects, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain reliable IT services, and support the continuous improvement of the plant's IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the plant's LAN, WAN, WLAN, switching, routing, Palo Alto firewall, VPN, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to ensure timely resolution.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage and maintain Proxmox virtualization platforms, virtual machines, and HPE MSA storage infrastructure.
• Administer Zabbix to monitor infrastructure health, system performance, capacity, and availability to ensure reliable IT services.
• Plan and perform system upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and routine infrastructure maintenance together with the Regional IT Infrastructure Team.
• Manage and monitor backup solutions, including backup verification and restoration activities, and support disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
• Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts, licenses, access, and related services.
• Support IT infrastructure security through appropriate access control, network segmentation, firewall policies, system updates, and secure configuration practices.
• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common business applications when required.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, system documentation, configurations, asset information, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate with Regional IT teams, vendors, and contractors for infrastructure deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and project implementation.
• Provide technical support for new infrastructure deployments and contribute to the continuous improvement and optimisation of the plant IT environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system administration, network engineering, or IT infrastructure support.
• Strong hands‑on experience with network switching, routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, wireless networks, VPN, and firewall technologies.
• Hands‑on experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Practical experience with Proxmox or other enterprise virtualization platforms.
• Experience with server, storage, and backup infrastructure, including backup and recovery operations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and user support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Experience working with IT vendors, contractors, and regional/global IT teams.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Good communication, documentation, problem‑solving, and project coordination skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, or virtualization‑related certifications are an advantage.
