Job summary

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHERS PTE. LTD in Singapore is seeking a motivated ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Prod Ops - Storage team. You will support storage and backup deployment, migrations, and day-to-day operations, focusing on reliability, performance, and security in an enterprise environment.

The role emphasizes automation, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on design to drive efficiency and resilience across storage and backup platforms in both on-premises and cloud contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalents with strong practical infra/ops experience also considered.
• At least 5 years in storage engineering or infrastructure operations with hands-on enterprise storage platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute storage and backup deployments, migrations, and capacity expansions.
• Design robust storage/backup solutions for production workloads.
• Manage data migrations with minimal disruption and ensure data protection.
• Decommission legacy storage and onboard new platforms.
• Configure backup policies, schedules, and retention across platforms.
• Support disaster recovery testing and recovery time/point objectives.
• Migrate backup workloads to modern platforms while preserving data protection.
• Ensure security/compliance standards are met across storage and backup projects.
• Develop security baseline docs and hardening configurations.
• Create test cases and validate functional, performance, and security aspects.
• Collaborate with security/compliance teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Operate storage/backup infrastructure daily: monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain health.
• Identify automation opportunities using scripting/AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Document processes and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
