Job summary

Coupang is seeking a senior AI/ML Engineer in Singapore to advance the AI/NLP/LLM/ML stack for eCommerce. You will build and refine large-scale models, develop AI pipelines, and collaborate across teams to implement security-conscious, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes practical deployment of foundation models, experimentation, and mentorship within a fast-paced, global tech environment. Ownership of projects and hands-on coding are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science and foundational model building for eCommerce.
• Expertise in post-training and deployment of LLMs.
• Deep understanding of AI/LLM/AIGC/ML architectures.
• Strong statistical background and metric definition.
• Experience with SQL, Python, PySpark, Scala, and R.
• Proficiency in PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark, BigQuery.
• Experience with inference platforms in AWS, Azure, and other open-source platforms.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Passion for NLP/ML at scale.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Work on GenAI and AI agents to solve eCommerce scenarios.
• Develop language and vision models for predictive AI.
• Train foundational models for learning systems.
• Define experiments for end-to-end foundation models.
• Build end-to-end AI pipelines for model servicing.
• Mentor team on data lakes, normalization, visualization, and statistics.
• Ensure model training is security and compliance aware.
• Collaborate with cross-team to align with AI strategy.
