Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Staff Engineer, Firmware Test to own SSD firmware verification, drive test strategy, automation, and product readiness for SSD features.

You will develop verification plans, lead white-box and grey-box testing, analyze regression failures, and collaborate with firmware teams to improve quality across enterprise and automotive SSD products.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Over 3 years of SSD firmware test development experience.
• Comprehensive SSD firmware testing and Python programming experience.
• Experience validating and debugging NAND, firmware, and system-level issues in SSD products.

Responsabilités

• Own comprehensive firmware verification plans for SSD firmware features and ensure coverage across functional, regression, and system-level test needs.
• Develop white-box, grey-box, known, and closed-system test methods for SSD firmware features.
• Drive analysis of weekly regression failures and perform root-cause analysis for NAND, firmware, and system-level issues.
• Manage test development, deployment, automation, and reporting to improve firmware quality and release readiness.
• Participate in code reviews and guide the team to ensure test coverage and alignment with firmware architecture.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to improve code quality and validation practices.
• Communicate technical challenges, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to cross-functional teams and management.
• Lead technical contributors and mentor engineers in firmware test development and validation practices.
• Support Agile development, Git workflow, CI, and test automation systems.
• Maintain strong relationships across firmware, product test, validation, and system engineering teams.
