Job summary

Reap is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability across a growing payments platform. You’ll define SLIs/SLOs, drive IaC adoption, and own cloud operations for PCI DSS regulated systems.

This is a deeply hands-on, senior individual contributor role with a flat, globally distributed team and a focus on building self-service, observable infrastructure. You’ll work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and serverless patterns, shaping how engineering teams interact with the platform

Qualifications

• Defined SLOs and incident/postmortem processes used in practice.
• Strong Linux, networking, and system administration fundamentals.
• Deep Terraform experience with migration or large-scale builds.
• Extensive AWS knowledge across multi-account, multi-region setups.
• Experience with PCI DSS or regulated financial environments.

Responsibilities

• Define reliability metrics with product teams and implement SLOs.
• Participate in on-call rotation and develop incident response practices.
• Expand IaC coverage to minimize manual provisioning and drift.
• Consolidate Terraform codebase with modular standards.
• Automate account provisioning to support new regions.
• Build self-service interfaces for product teams to deploy and observe.
• Design ephemeral environments for on-demand production-like setups.
• Implement observable telemetry and alerting across tools.
• Own cloud operations for PCI DSS regulated systems.
• Embed security controls in infrastructure and secrets management.
• Collaborate with teams to treat platform as a product.
