Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD invites an experienced SQL Database Administrator to manage production MS SQL Server databases in a demanding environment. You will ensure high availability, performance, security, data integrity, and lead DR/backup activities while collaborating with developers and IT teams.

The role requires 7+ years hands-on SQL DBA experience, deep expertise in MS SQL Server and T-SQL, and a track record in performance tuning, migrations, and cloud (Azure).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on SQL DBA experience in a large or business-critical environment.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup and recovery.
• Experience with database migration, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of database security and access management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server databases in a production environment.
• Ensure high availability, performance, security, and data integrity.
• Lead backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Troubleshoot complex database and performance issues.
• Perform SQL query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Manage database upgrades, migrations, patching, and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain High Availability / Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Work closely with developers, IT infrastructure, and business teams on database requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improvement of the database environment.
• Take ownership of critical database incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
