Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. seeks an experienced Database Administrator to manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines in a GCC Singapore environment.

You will implement automation, perform data patches via T-SQL, ensure security, backups, high availability and disaster recovery, and monitor performance with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016+.
• Hands-on experience administering Azure SQL DB/MI and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Proficient in writing and executing T-SQL scripts for data patching and maintenance.
• Experience with backup, restore and disaster recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Azure security features and governance controls.

Responsibilities

• Provision databases with required licenses.
• Install, configure, administer and maintain Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Execute SQL scripts for data patches and maintenance across production environments.
• Implement data security and recovery controls.
• Configure and maintain backup, restore, high availability and disaster recovery for Azure SQL environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, user access and security.
• Set up monitoring, alerts and diagnostic logging using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Manage parameters for database optimisation and capacity management.
• Maintain runbooks, patch records, and change logs for audits.
