Job summary

EnviroDynamics Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced procurement and engineering specialist to lead sourcing of electronic components and PCBA activities. You will drive VA/VE with R&D to optimize costs while preserving quality and reliability.

The role includes negotiating prices, managing RFQ processes, and drafting commercial contracts for regional cost-reduction initiatives. You will monitor ECN/SCN changes, ensure continuity, and review supplier performance across APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience within Product Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Component Engineering, or Technical Sourcing.
• Deep understanding of electronic components, PCBA manufacturing, semiconductor market dynamics, or industrial sensor products.
• Proficiency in analyzing cost structures, managing engineering change requests, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives with R&D to optimize costs without affecting quality.
• Lead pricing negotiations, manage RFQ packages, and draft commercial contracts for cost-reduction projects.
• Resolve critical component shortages and review manufacturing line capacities with vendors to avoid factory downtime.
• Track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Supplier Change Notices (SCNs) to translate technical modifications into procurement savings.
• Conduct monthly business reviews with key suppliers and coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers to address COPQ.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Sourcing & VA/VE:Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives. Collaborate with R&D to evaluate alternative electronic components, replacement ICs, and new materials to optimize costs without affecting quality.


• Commercial Negotiation:Lead pricing negotiations, manage RFQ packages, and handle commercial contract drafting for high-impact cost-reduction projects.


• Supply Chain Continuity & Risk Mitigation:Resolve critical component shortages, review manufacturing line capacities with vendors, and manage component End-of-Life (EOL) or Last-Time-Buy strategies to avoid factory downtime.


• Change Management:Track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Supplier Change Notices (SCNs) to ensure technical modifications successfully translate into bottom-line procurement savings.


• Supplier Performance:Conduct regular monthly business reviews with key factored partners and partner with Supplier Quality Engineers to resolve technical defects and recover Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).

Requirements (The Essentials)

• Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.


• Experience:5+ years of experience within Product Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Component Engineering, or Technical Sourcing.


• Domain Knowledge:Deep understanding of electronic components, PCBA manufacturing, semiconductor market dynamics, or industrial sensor products.


• Tools:Proficiency in analyzing cost structures, managing engineering change requests, and working with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP).


• Travel:Willingness to travel regionally around 5% to 10% for supplier site audits and reviews.

The Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience managing regional electronics suppliers or factored manufacturing partners across the Asia-Pacific region.


• Excellent cross-functional communication skills to seamlessly bridge the gap between technical engineers and commercial vendors across global boundaries.
