Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years in Product Quality, Reliability, or Design Assurance.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing or software development.
• Strong knowledge of risk-based quality practices and RCFA/8D.
• ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead early-stage design reviews, code reviews, and spec evaluations to mitigate risks.
• Develop and execute NPI quality strategies using FMEA, DFSS, DfR, and APQP.
• Plan system-level accelerated reliability testing (HALT) and failure analysis.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly technical, forward-thinking

Senior Product Quality Engineer

to champion advanced quality planning and reliability engineering. In this role, you will lead the "shift-left" approach to quality, embedding yourself early in the Research & Development (R&D) and New Product Introduction (NPI) phases.

You will bridge the gap between advanced product development and mass manufacturing by utilizing traditional robust quality methodologies alongside modern data analytics and automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & NPI Assurance: Actively participate in early-stage engineering design reviews, code reviews, and specification evaluations to mitigate risks and ensure products meet premium performance standards.
• Advanced Quality Planning: Establish and execute comprehensive New Product Introduction (NPI) quality strategies, utilizing core tools such as FMEA, DFSS, DfR, and APQP.
• Reliability & Failure Analysis: Plan and lead system-level accelerated reliability testing (including HALT and Ongoing Reliability Testing), performing hands-on electrical and mechanical failure analysis to resolve design anomalies.
• Smart Quality & Data Innovation: Identify, design, and implement data analytics, automation, and AI/Machine Learning use cases within quality workflows (e.g., predictive quality, anomaly detection, and test optimization) to enhance decision velocity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global R&D engineering, supply chain, and backend manufacturing teams to ensure process robustness and flawless production launches.
• Compliance & Audits: Maintain and support the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring readiness for ISO 9001 and industry-specific audits.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Product Quality, Reliability, or Design Assurance within electronics manufacturing or software development environments.
• Technical Depth: Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing assembly, PCBA testing processes, and end-to-end product development lifecycles.
• Methodologies: Solid proficiency in risk-based quality practices, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and standard problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D).
• Compliance: Practical experience supporting or auditing quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

• Experience with Agile development frameworks and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
• Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Reliability Engineering (CRE).
• Prior background in high-reliability electronic hardware sectors like Automotive, Aerospace, or Medical Devices.
• Familiarity with data science tools, programming (e.g., Python, SQL), data visualization (e.g., Power BI), or the deployment of digital automation workflows.
