Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Solutions Reliability Engineer III to influence and optimize the global operating environment. You will work with Application Services, product teams and stakeholders to deliver operational excellence through automation and AI-powered insights.

You will design, develop and support monitoring, observability, automation and AI-enabled workflows that reduce toil and accelerate issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Influences Solutions Engineering teams to continuously improve the operating environment.
• Partners with Application Services, product teams and business stakeholders to identify, prioritise and deliver operational excellence solutions, including opportunities to leverage AI and intelligent automation to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Designs, develops and supports monitoring, observability, automation and AI-assisted operational solutions. This can include technologies such as Datadog, Splunk, machine learning models and agentic systems. Develops automation and intelligent workflows that optimise operational efficiency, accelerate issue resolution and reduce manual effort.
• Coordinates timely delivery of complex integration test environments supporting major business initiatives, analysing outcomes to identify and implement actions to reduce defects
• Develops effective workarounds, self-service capabilities, knowledge assets and AI-enabled operational procedures for activities not yet fully automated, enabling associates and partners to resolve issues more efficiently.
• Maintains current knowledge across reliability engineering, cloud technologies, observability, AI and agentic operational practices. Provides technical guidance and coaching to less experienced Service Reliability Engineers.
• Facilitates Problem Management coordination. Works with Problem Record assignees to analyse Production Incidents after resolution; engages in Problem Analysis and solution design to prevent future reoccurrence.
• Works with IM’s and RM’s to ensure timely communication to the impacted parties during a major incident.
• Leverages business knowledge, technology background, and ITIL Service Management tools and processes to ensure consistent approach and visibility to Event and Incident Management
• Maintains a working knowledge of core Capital Group technologies, applications, business cycles and capabilities to assess the impact of technology events on the business and other support areas
• Consistently applies Continuous Improvement methodologies, leveraging automation, AI and agentic engineering principles to eliminate toil, optimise operational processes and improve service reliability.
