Job summary

Capital Group in Singapore seeks a Senior Data Engineer III to ensure the stability and reliability of production data platforms. You will build monitoring, automation, and observability capabilities to detect issues early and enable rapid resolution.

You will partner with data product, engineering, and platform teams to drive continuous improvement, define runbooks, and raise engineering standards for resilience. A hybrid schedule and competitive compensation accompany this pivotal role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in production data operations and SRE practices.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Airflow, and data pipelines.
• Experience with SQL and programming languages (Python, Scala, or Java).
• Ability to lead incident response and drive RCA improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, availability, and reliability of production data platforms and pipelines.
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability to detect issues early.
• Lead incident response, triage, and resolution with rapid restoration of services.
• Conduct root cause analysis and postmortems to drive corrective actions.
• Improve resilience by identifying risks and defining SLAs/SLOs.
