Job summary

Microsoft Regional Sales Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer with a strong data and AI background to help Swiss global customers modernize data and AI platforms across the Asia time zone.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor to CIOs and architecture leaders, shaping enterprise cloud strategies and leading regional transformation programs while coordinating with Europe and Asia teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 4+ years pre-sales or 6+ years pre-sales with Bachelor.
• Equivalent experience in technical pre-sales or consulting accepted.

Responsibilities

Are you passionate about shaping enterprise-wide cloud and AI strategies and driving large-scale transformation in the era of AI? We are looking for aCloud & AI Solution Engineerwith a solid background in Data and AIto help Swiss global customers to modernize their (data and application) infrastructure, design and implement their next-generation data and AI platforms across the Asia time zone.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to CIOs, Architecture leaders, etc. helping them define and execute modern data strategies that enable AI-driven innovation. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise architecture, and technology execution — supporting complex global organizations with stakeholders across Europe and Asia.

Responsibilities

The Cloud & AI Solution Engineer will:

• Drive technical sales engagements with customer decision makers, architects, and platform teams through demos, proof of concepts, and technical solution design.
• Lead hands-on customer engagements such as hackathons, architecture workshops, and proof-of-concept activities to accelerate adoption of Microsoft cloud data platforms.
• Build trusted relationships with Swiss global customers and their Asia-based stakeholders, helping them design secure, scalable, and production-ready data solutions.
• Resolve technical blockers and customer objections by coordinating with engineering teams, product specialists, account teams, and partners.
• Maintain deep expertise across key Cloud & AI platforms solutions
• Represent Microsoft in customer forums and technical communities as a thought leader supporting customers' in their frontier transformation

Qualifications

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

• 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
• 6 years of experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, industry standards, or technology management.
• Expertise in hybrid Enterprise Architecture conversations
• Expertise in Azure Cloud platforms and ideally background in key data solutions (Microsoft and/or competitor solutions)
• Proven ability to lead technical engagements such as hackathons, proof of concepts, or minimum viable product work that drive production-scale outcomes.
• Experience with data warehouse and big data migrations from platforms such as Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks, or Azure
• Ability to work flexibly with regional and global customer stakeholders, including Asia time-zone coverage when customer needs require it.
• Proficiency in Japanese will be a plus for this role as there is a need to support Japan market and stakeholders
