Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor/Engineer to support solar PV projects in Singapore. You will develop PV module layouts, interpret civil/structural docs, and propose electrical modifications for grid tie-in while sizing components and analyzing performance.

The role requires 3+ years QS experience on electrical and solar PV construction, independent work ethic, and proficiency with AutoCAD and GeBIZ.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in QS or engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' QS experience on electrical and solar PV construction in Singapore.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial PV module layouts for new solar projects.
• Interpret civil and structural documents to support design.
• Propose electrical modifications for grid tie-in.
• Select and size PV modules, inverters, cables and trunking, backed by technical analysis, performance and glare simulations.
• Prepare PVsyst simulation reports as required.
• Produce SLD drawings and finalize electrical designs and construction documents.
• Review existing drawings and survey site conditions to improve PV performance.
• Prepare material RFQ lists and cost calculations for electrical tenders and confirmed projects.
