Job summary

Bain & Company in Singapore seeks an Expert Manager, Software Engineering to lead the development of AI-powered software solutions for global clients. You will guide a diverse engineering team through full lifecycles, design scalable architectures, and drive industry-leading practices in cloud-native delivery and DevOps.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with designers on UI/UX, and coach client teams to ensure sustainable ownership and measurable business impact across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years designing, building, and maintaining production-grade full-stack apps.
• 4+ years building server-side services with modern frameworks.
• 3+ years architecting microservice ecosystems with CI/CD and observability.
• Experience with cloud-native delivery on AWS/Azure/GCP and IaC.
• Proficient with containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and strong SQL.
• Strong CS fundamentals and performance profiling.
• Knowledge of security, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and IAM.
• Familiarity with AI/ML development and modern web tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of software applications addressing complex business problems.
• Guide engineering squads through full lifecycle with measurable impact.
• Architect and build AI-enabled applications and related infrastructure.
• Establish engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, accessibility, performance.
• Develop reusable libraries and accelerators across client projects.
• Oversee code reviews, testing, release planning, and post-deployment monitoring.
• Collaborate with designers on inclusive, responsive interfaces.
• Mentor engineers and coach client teams on modern tooling and DevOps.
• Drive AI-native tech adoption, containerization and secure-by-design principles.
• Support talent acquisition and onboarding; participate in interviews.
