Job summary

GovTech in Singapore seeks a dynamic Software Engineer to drive application development for public sector goals. You will design, prototype, and deliver scalable solutions, collaborating with product managers, engineers, UX designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into roadmaps.

You will work on full-stack SaaS and cloud deployments, contributing to high-availability systems while embracing governance and security best practices to deliver public value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
• At least 5 years hands-on DevOps software engineering with Agile (SCRUM).
• Experience with Government Cloud GCC, SHIP-HATS and SG Tech Stack.
• Strong knowledge of Java and C# .Net, RESTful APIs, ETL data migration.
• Experience with modern full-stack SaaS and integration services.
• Proven track record of large-scale, high-availability public sector systems.
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy in the public sector.
• Experience with large, highly available systems at scale.
• Understand governance, security, and platform practices.
• Team player with good communication and passion for public good.

Responsibilities

• Lead design direction and collaborate with UX designers, finance officers, and solution providers.
• Product development, system integration and architecture design for apps used by public officers.
• Align with product roadmaps and requirements; translate business needs into roadmaps.
• Build prototypes to validate business needs and proof of concepts.
• Write production quality code and manage deployments to cloud infra.
• Maintain systems to high reliability and deliver new features sustainably.
• Apply metrics to guide decisions and improve delivery flow.
• Participate in architecture reviews and governance practices.
